The vision of Cancer Research UK is to beat cancer through world class research. Cancer Research UK is committed to helping the development of the next generation of leaders in tobacco control. If you can provide a strong studentship project and an excellent training environment then Cancer Research UK’s PhD Studentship in Tobacco Control may provide the funding you require.

A competitive stipend and research running expenses will be provided. We will work with successful applicants to advertise the studentship in national journals and on websites to attract the best students.

Applications are welcome from those who do not currently hold Cancer Research UK grants.

This studentship is for work in priority areas of tobacco control policy.

August 2005 Over 50 UK smoking cessation services have registered their interest in joining the SCSRN. This website is currently being developed to allow services to register their service details and upload service reports online.
June 2005 The Smoking Cessation Service Research Network (SCSRN) was launched at the 1st UK National Smoking Cessation Conference (UKNSCC) at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London on 9th and 10th June.
